Welcome to the Creative Conservation homepage. This page was
created to assist homebuilders, homebuyers, and commercial
contractors when choosing insulation and waterproofing
systems.
When building a home there are many aspects to
consider. From the all- important price to lot type, square footage
and even aesthetic details such as paint color and flooring.
Building a home is overwhelming, much time and thought is needed.
During this process, one might tend to focus on issues regarding the
looks of their new home and overlook steps in the building process,
which can add value to the home for years to come.
Two
major stages in home building that is often overlooked by today’s
consumer is the insulation and waterproofing
of
their new home. Insulation is installed and covered by sheetrock.
Waterproofing is installed and backfilled with dirt. However, unlike
paint or floor coverings, it is not feasible to change or upgrade
the insulation or waterproofing once the house is built. This is why
it is very important to make wise decisions regarding these steps
during the building process.
